15 Times The Rock Was An Actual Gift To Us All

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson first came to our attention for his talents as a wrestler, than he branched into acting and many other business ventures, but what truly makes him stick out is his kind heart. For a man his size, it’s no surprise he’s got a massive heart. A heart the size of Texas basically, he’s that big of a sweetheart. If he’s not visiting sick kids, he’s literally stopping his car to run back and meet his fans. No matter how famous he is, he never is too busy for his fans, big or small, and he always makes time for those who support him. He’s an actual angel and gift that we are not worthy of.

When he literally turned his car around just to say hello to these fans:

#1 thing people ask me about is this story about these awesome girls. All ages and races - lucky dude to have the greatest fans in the world. #Repost ・・・ Maybe it's random or maybe it's holiday fate... either way it makes my heart sing... I decide to take a Sunday drive in my pick up to run errands and go train at my buddy's gym. As I'm driving down the road I see three young girls holding signs that just say "Beep", "Happy Holidays" etc. So I drive by and do what anyone would do.. I beep and wave. As I look in my rearview I can see that they're pointing at my truck (my all black pick up is pretty recognizable in our little country town). I go train and run my errands and over 3 HOURS later I'm driving back down our little backroad and the same three angels are standing by the side of the road - only this time they're jumping up and down, waving and screaming as I drove by. I thought, "Did those signs say my name?"..."Should I turn around just in case?" I decide to hit the brakes and look in my rearview and in that very moment I see them going BONKERS! I flipped a U-turn and drove back to them. They were elated. So was I. These little angels waited outside for over 3 hours for me to hopefully drive back down their road.. their mom and dad came running out and we all exchanged hugs and took pics. I made sure I got a pic with my phone, wished them all Happy Holidays, got back in my truck and went on my way. The coolest part of this whole random (or maybe fateful) act is that by turning around I literally got to meet some of the sweetest and kindest little ladies and family I'd ever met. May sound silly or corny, but moments like this are by far the greatest part of fame. Happy Holiday's guys and thank you universe for this really cool moment. #CheckoutSantaWithThePhotoBomb #GreatestFansInTheWorld

When he made Christopher's day and told his story:

So I called an audible and went to visit Christopher. Glad we did... While I was visiting the Pediatric Specialty Ward surprising the kids, I got word from my team that there was a mom who was pleading with our production staff, that I go upstairs to her son's room to give him a much needed big surprise. Since he's older he's in the main hospital and not in pediatric care. We were shooting #BAYWATCH scenes outside of the hospital, but instead of heading back to shoot I called the audible, put production on hold and went upstairs to see this young man. I walked in and his smile lit up the room! And I mean lit that room up!;) We talked for a while about his family, his school and how hard he's working to eventually graduate AND we talked about how COOL all his scars are from his multiple surgeries - from his head to his chest - those scars are badges of honor and the reminder of how beyond tough this kid is. Right before I left his mom looked at him and said, "Christopher I can't give you anything, but I'm so happy I could give you this today..." and she started to breakdown, which was captured in this pic. Made me think to give so much credit to these parents who would do anything to take their kid's pain away and ANYTHING to bring a smile to their faces. As a papa bear I understand. Glad this mom brought a smile to Christopher's face. And glad I got a chance to shake the hand of this very strong and inspiring young man. Stay strong Christopher and show them scars with pride. You're the man! ~ DJ

When such small moments with him create such big impacts in other's lives:

I'm always asked "What's the best part of fame?" Here's a story that answers that.. Last week on our last day of shooting #ballers, my security came over and said "There's a few officers who've worked for us all day and would love the chance to meet you. One of them has a personal story to tell you." I said I'd love to meet them and walked over to say hello. I shook hands with both men, took pictures and they graciously said goodbye. As I was walking away, I realized I didn't get the personal story. So I called back to one of the officers and said "I heard you had a sorry for me?" He was surprised and turned around and called for him and said "Sure Mr. Johnson". He told me in 2008 when I was taking my mom to get her weekly chemotherapy and radiation cancer treatments, he was taking his dad, Jesus Arias at the same time - who had been diagnosed with the same cancer as my mom. He said, "You won't remember this but we walked into the hospital at the same time and you turned around, smiled and held the door open for my dad... and you have no idea what that moment meant to him. And me." Officer Arias shared with me that he'd been waiting years to tell me that on that day, after I shook his dad's hand and told him to stay strong, that his dad felt no pain that day. And was once again was a happy man and pain free. Even if just for one day. Jesus Arias passed away from cancer later that year, but his life continues to tell an inspiring story. I'm always asked "What's the best part of fame?" Hands down, it's moments like this. Y'all take care of each other and your families. Remember it's often the littlest things we do in life that can make the BIGGEST difference. And Officer @Rarias23 thank you for sharing your dad's story with me. And now the world. ~ DJ #BestPartOfFame

Every time he takes care of someone who supported him very early in his career:

Merry Christmas Uncle Tonga - enjoy your new truck! Cool Christmas story to share with y'all... Known my "Uncle Tonga" since I was 5yrs old. My grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia helped train him to become a professional wrestler in the 70's. Throughout Tonga's illustrious wrestling career he changed his name to "King Haku" and became one the WWE's most sought after "bad guys" and still known to this day for being one of the toughest and legit most vicious man in wrestling history. Years later and I get a call from WWE saying "Vince McMahon wants to see you wrestle immediately. He's flying you to RAW tomorrow and you'll have a tryout match." I thought holy shit that's awesome, buuuut there's a few problems: For me, I wasn't just having "a tryout match", because I had never actually HAD a real match in my life. Ever. WWE thought that I already had multiple matches under my belt, but little did they know. What they also didn't know was that I was broke as hell and didn't actually own wrestling gear - no boots, knee pads or most importantly.. wrestling trunks. I went to Sports Authority and bought some bright ass white volleyball knee pads, called my Uncle and asked if he had ANY trunks I could use for my tryout. He said all I have is a pair of shiny purple trunks (purple was his signature color), I told him I don't care if the trunks are all the colors of Skittles, I'll happily wear them. When I picked the trunks up from him I'll never forget the monster hug he gave me, look me in the eyes and said, "I'm so proud of you. Go get 'em nephew!" Here's the picture of me wrestling my FIRST MATCH EVER in Corpus Christi, TX in front of 15,000 people - proudly in my lucky purple trunks. And the rest... was history. My Uncle Tonga is a family man, humble man and champion. Most importantly one of the greatest human beings I know. So we walk outside and I said "Uncle how do you like my truck?" He said, "Whoooaaa nephew it's beautiful... I love it!" I said "Good 'cause it's yours." He was speechless. Thru tears (manly of course;) we monster hugged 'cause I'll never forget what he did for me when I had nothing. Merry Christmas Uncle and ofa atu. #LuckyPurpleTrunks
