Kool G Rap to sue over alleged racial profiling incident

Hip-hop veteran Kool G Rap is reportedly preparing to launch legal action against officials at retail store Finish Line after he was falsely arrested for theft.
The Fast Life rapper found himself charged with stealing a pair of Nike LeBron 15 sneakers, worth $185 (£141), over the summer (18) after an employee at a Pennsylvania location of the sporting goods store identified the suspect as an African-American male in his 40s.
Kool G, real name Nathaniel Thomas Wilson, had been shopping in the mall at the time, and was spotted by the employee in the parking lot. He took note of the star’s license plate, and called the police, who quickly tracked down the 50 year old, who also matched the description of the assailant.
He was slapped with a count of misdemeanour theft, but his lawyers Donte Mills and Lennon Edwards of Mills & Edwards LLP were subsequently able to get the charge dropped, after discovering that cops had failed to study the store’s surveillance video.
According to the CCTV footage, Kool G never stepped foot in Finish Line during his trip to the mall, and the employee admitted he never actually saw the rapper in the store.
Now Mills and Edwards are gearing up to sue Finish Line bosses for racial profiling, reports TMZ.
Kool G has yet to comment on the news.
