Kristen Bell is set to start work on the highly-anticipated Frozen sequel within days.

The actress, who voices Princess Anna, reveals production on the animated follow-up is set to start much sooner than fans had initially thought, with Kristen expecting to hit the studio to begin recording vocals later this month (Mar16).

Idina Menzel, who voices Queen Elsa, and Josh Gad, who plays snowman Olaf, are also set to reprise their roles for Frozen 2, which will see the return of directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, who penned the script for the 2013 hit.

“They’ve just written it and they’re still doing tweaks, but I think we should be recording this month,” she told Collider.com. “The story is great, and they exude quality.”

“What I know about that whole team is that they wouldn’t just put something out to put it out,” she explained of the sequel’s delay. “That’s why it took them so long to even announce that we were doing a second one.”

Bell reveals the cast members have yet to work on any music for the sequel, as they’ve been kept busy recording for the various Frozen-themed Disney rides around the world.

“We record all the time for different parks or different parks that open overseas; we’ll do a mashup for the rides,” Bell said. “So we actually get to go in – Josh and Idina, Jonathan (Groff) and I – all the time and record new bits of the music… So we have little bits of Frozen in our life at all times, but I’m excited to get started on the new movie.”

The Oscar-winning Frozen currently stands as the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, raking in more than $1.2 billion worldwide.
