Rapper Plies has felony gun charge dropped

Hip-hop star Plies has been granted a lucky break in his felony gun case after prosecutors agreed to drop the charge.
The Rock rapper was taken into police custody in September (18) after a Glock .43 was found in his carry-on luggage during a pre-flight security check at Tampa International Airport in Florida.
At the time, it appeared Plies, who had reportedly grabbed the wrong bag before heading to the airport, did not have a permit for the gun, and he was booked for carrying a concealed weapon.
However, authorities subsequently discovered the 42 year old, real name Algernod Lanier Washington, did have a valid permit for the firearm, and they agreed not to prosecute after Plies completed a concealed weapons course, according to TMZ.com.
