Samuel L. Jackson hosting slave documentary

Samuel L. Jackson has signed on to host a documentary about the beginning of slavery in the U.S.
Enslaved will examine slavery through underwater archaeology and will be released to coincide with the 400-year anniversary of the first African arriving in ‘the New World’.
The six-part series will be directed by journalist Simcha Jacobovici and the Avengers: Infinity War star will also serve as an executive producer.
According to Deadline, Jackson, who is a licensed diver, will be part of the team which will search for the sunken ships, on which many slaves lost their lives.
“For me, this is much more than a TV series,” the actor says. “For me, Enslaved is an attempt to give a voice to the millions whose voices were silenced.”
