‘The Witch’ is a different kind of horror film than most films being released today. The film is scary enough to scare the king of horror Stephen King, and has an official endorsement from the Satanic Temple. You won’t find any jump scares, no cheap tricks. Instead, Director Robert Eggers (winner of best director in the 2015 Sundance Film Festival) uses folklore and horrific imagery to scare everyone who sees it.
