Michelle Trachtenberg - Harriet M. Welsch
After her breakout role as the precocious Harriet, in Harriet The Spy, Michelle Trachtenberg went on to star in the epic UPN/The WB teen drama, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She also appeared in The CW's Gossip Girl for several seasons as Georgina Sparks, the girl who comes back to stir up Serena van der Woodsen's dark past. Most recently. Trachtenberg has starred on Fox's Sleepy Hollow, and she will be seen in this year's indie drama, Sister Cities opposite Amy Smart. The 30-year-old actress is fluent in Russian, and she also celebrates both Christmas and Hanukkah each year.
Rosie O'Donnell - Katherine "Ole Golly"
Rosie O'Donnell was no stranger to the stage when she starred as Harriet's loving nanny Golly in Harriet the Spy. That same year the film debuted, O'Donnell also began hosting her own talk show The Rosie O'Donnell Show. In 2002, two months before her show went off the air, O'Donnell came out as a lesbian. She has been a huge advocate for LGBTQ rights ever since. In 2006, O'Donnell became a host for The View, causing several controversies in the many years that she was on the show. Most recently, O'Donnell has guest starred on Fox's Empire and she has a recurring role on FreeForm's (formally ABC Family's) The Fosters. Rosie O'Donnell is a foster and adoptive mother.
Gregory Smith - Simon "Sport" Rocque
After playing one of Harriet's BFFs in Harriet The Spy, Gregory Smith went on to star in a plethora of films including The Patriot and Disney Channel's Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century. However, his breakout role was playing Ephram Brown on The WB's Everwood opposite Chris Pratt and Emily VanCamp. From 2010-2015, Smith starred as Dov Epstein on ABC's Rookie Blue. Most recently, the 32-year-old has taken a role behind the camera. He directed five episodes of Rookie Blue, two episodes of The CW's Arrow, and he will be directing several episodes of The CW's newest DC Comics series, Legends Of Tomorrow.

Vanessa Lee Chester - Janie Gibbs
Though Vanessa Lee Chester starred as Harriet's brainy BFF Janie in Harriet the Spy, her breakout role came the year prior, in Alfonso Cuarón's A Little Princess. Following Harriet the Spy, Chester had several film and television roles including, 17 Again, Malcolm in the Middle, and The West Wing. Charlotte Sullivan - Marion Hawthorne
After starring as mean girl, Marion Hawthorne, in Harriet the Spy, Charlotte Sullivan went on to have a starring role in CBS' short-lived The New Ghostwriter Mysteries. Since then, Sullivan has had various roles in both films and on television, including portraying Marilyn Monroe in a 2011 mini series, The Kennedys. In 2010, Sullivan teamed back up with her Harriet the Spy co-star Gregory Smith in the ABC series Rookie Blue. Most recently, Sullivan has starred in CTV's hit drama Saving Hope.
Dov Tiefenbach - The Boy With The Purple Socks
The year before Dov Tiefenback starred in Harriet the Spy as The Boy With the Purple Socks, he had a much more memorable role opposite Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in It Takes Two. Post Harriet the Spy, Tiefenbach has done some work on Broadway and starred in several films and television series including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. According to his IMDB, Tiefenbach currently has three films slated for release this year. He also used to be the front man for a dirty indie pop band called, Theresa's Sound-World.

J. Smith-Cameron - Mrs. Welsch
The same year she appeared as Harriet's mom in Harriet the Spy, J. Smith-Cameron also starred in the smash success, The First Wives Club. Though much of Smith-Cameron's career had been spent on the theater stage, she has also had memorable roles in films like You Can Count on Me and on television shows like Law and Order. Most recently, the Tony nominated actress starred in the film Christine opposite Michael C Hall which premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
Robert Joy - Mr. Welsch
Before he was expressing his disdain for tomato and mayo sandwiches as Harriet's dad in Harriet The Spy, Robert Joy appeared alongside Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan and in Woody Allen's film Radio Days. In 2005, Joy became a series regular on CSI: New York as Dr. Sid Hammerback, the Chief Medical Examiner. Most recently, Joy starred on an episode of Grey's Anatomy. Joy's partner is Dreamgirls' composer Henry Krieger.
RIP Eartha Kitt - Agatha K. Plummer
The late-great Eartha Kitt was once described by Orson Welles as “the most exciting woman in the world”. Kitt began her career on 1943, and was an actress, singer, cabaret star, dancer, stand-up comedian, activist and voice artist, known for her highly distinctive singing style. In the late 1960s, Kitt also portrayed Catwoman in the Batman TV series. In the 21st century, an entire new generation of fans fell in love with Kitt as the villinous Yzma in Disney's The Emperor's New Groove and its spinoffs. On January 17, 2007, Kitt held a concert in honor of her 80th birthday at Carnegie Hall called “Eartha Kitt And Friends.” Kitt died from colon cancer on Christmas Day 2008, at her home in Weston, Connecticut. She was 81-years-old. In 2010, she won her third Emmy posthumously for her work in the children's television series, The Wonder Pets.
